Cannon Valley Elder Collegium (www.cvec.org), offers fifteen Spring Term courses for learners aged 50+. Fourteen courses will be taught in-person at Northfield locations; one course will be offered online via Zoom.
For thirty years, CVEC has stuck to its successful formula:
• Thought-provoking courses, with engaged elder students
• Outstanding instructors: professors, teachers, community experts
• No tests, no grades, no papers to write, no class presentations
• Affordable tuition fees, course books are extra, scholarships available
Registration for CVEC’s Spring Term is underway. Go to www.cvec.org for complete course details and to register. Spring Term 2026 starts March 23, and ends May 15. Registration continues for courses with openings until April 3.
Spring 2026 courses cover a wide range of topics: Northfield’s beginnings to today, understanding AI, ethics in everyday life, Minnesota weather, misfit characters in movies, Vietnam’s history, playwright Tom Stoppard, American civil liberties, Irish history, short stories, and more. CVEC welcomes participants from Minnesota’s Cannon River valley region; online participants join from throughout the USA.
