Rosella Davisson, age 92, longtime Randolph resident, passed away Saturday evening, February 26, 2022, at Evergreen Lodge of the Northfield Retirement Community.

Rosella Esther Lauer Davisson was born April 15, 1929, in Galena Township, Martin County, Minnesota, to Edward and Louise (Schroedel) Lauer. She was baptized June 9, 1929, a Trinity Lutheran Church in Monterey, Minnesota. She attended elementary school in East Chain, Minnesota, and at the age of 12 moved with her family to Randolph, graduating from Randolph High School in 1946. Rosella married Eugene R. Davisson on April 22, 1947, in Randolph. After marriage they made their home in Randolph. Gene passed away October 31, 2009, after 62 years of marriage.

Rosella was a active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, a former member of PTA and an avid gardener. She enjoyed keeping up on the news, reading newspapers cover to cover and watching the news on TV. She loved to travel had a visited 48 of our 50 states, missing just 2 on the east coast.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Bernard) Perry of Shakopee; her daughter-in-law, Sarah Davisson of Lake St. Croix Beach, MN; five grandchildren, Brett (Angela) Perry, Keith (Sharon) Davisson, Kevin (Tammy) Davisson, Haley Santella and Nicole (Tony) Spaulding; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Alice Endres of Woodbury; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her son DuWayne, one sister, 4 brothers and her parents.

A gathering to celebrate Rosella’s life will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Randolph.

Memorials are preferred to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Randolph or Randolph Dollars for Scholars.
